Enhanced Illumination and Automatic Vendor Detection are separate paid features that you can use together. To learn more, talk to your Customer Success Manager.
If you use Automatic Vendor Detection to track your third- and fourth-party vendor connections, you can enrich your vendor insights with Enhanced Illumination. This add-in feature provides visibility into:
- More third- and fourth-party vendor connections
- Software products, libraries, languages and other technologies that vendors use
- Searchable vendor connections across any Portfolio
How Enhanced Illumination expands Automatic Vendor Detection
Automatic Vendor Detection sources its data from SecurityScorecard's recurring domain scans and analysis of organizations' website content. When a site loads content from third parties, we classify them as fourth parties and establish connections.
Enhanced Illumination supplements this information with data from other sources available on the internet:
- Commerce data
- Contracts
- Security Exchange Commission (SEC) Form 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Data from the Department of Defense (DoD) Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS)
- Job postings (For example, a posting lists proficiency with a software product as a requirement.)
- Posted resumes(For example, a resume shows that a person worked for a vendor organization and used a software product there.)
- Product data
