How and why Website Copyright is Not Current (website_copyright_expired) is an issue?

SecurityScorecard has observed correlation between the observation of this signal and breach/ransomware. Note that correlation is not causation.
However, in SecurityScorecard outside-in detection of various security flaws, a high proportion of what SecurityScorecard observes is behavioural. Observations of outdated browsers, OSes, weak ciphers, etc are well correlated with breach and this has been validated with several sets of insurance claims data. In other words, if the organisation is not staying on top about keeping these up-to-date, what else is the organisation not being diligent about? The Website Copyright is Not Current is an example of an observable signal that indicates lack of attention about digital infrastructure of an organization.
