Question
I just remediated a finding against my Scorecard, and I can see that the finding now has a "Resolved" status, but why did my Score not update and why is the finding still showing under "Open" Issues and not under "Approved" issues?
Answer
When a remediation against a finding is approved, the finding remains under the Open findings for a few days under "Resolved" status.
This status actually means that the finding has been Approved for Removal but is pending removal from the Scorecard. This happens because for the finding to completely drop off from the Scorecard, the updated scorecard needs to be calculated and then published on the platform. The process usually take up to 2-3 days from the date it has been Approved for Removal.
Note: At this moment in time, the ability to force the removal by reducing the update time needed is not currently available on the platform. However, our Product and Engineering teams are continuously improving the process to reduce the delays.
