In this article:
We only have a measure of the relative likelihood of a breach, rather than the absolute likelihood. We cannot provide the absolute probability because we don't know how many breaches occur within a time period. Most breaches go unreported by companies. As a result we cannot provide any percentage or times of when a company having A grade may face a breach.
The relative Breach likelihoods are below:
* Companies with an A rating have 1n [1 times] less likelihood of incurring a data breach compared to companies with B rating.
* Companies with a B rating have 2.9n [2.9 times] less likelihood of incurring a data breach compared to companies with C rating.
* Companies with a C rating have 5.4n [5.4 times] less likelihood of incurring a data breach compared to companies with D rating.
* Companies with a D rating have 9.2n [9.2 times] less likelihood of incurring a data breach compared to companies with F rating.
* Companies with a F rating have 18.2n [18.2 times] greater likelihood of incurring a data breach compared to companies with A rating.
NOTE: The above data is estimated and has been tested through the validation testing method of our scoring algorithm.
