Assign ownership of domains, IPs, and their associated issues to other team members to improve accountability and speed up remediation.
Why use ownership assignment?
When an asset is assigned to a specific person, responsibility is clear. Although the platform does not yet send a notification for each assignment, any logged-in user can see who owns what. This encourages collaboration, engagement, and faster resolution of issues that impact your organization's security score.
What you can do
- Assign assets to other users or teams in your organization.
- Assign issue findings to other users or teams in your organization.
- Filter by user or team to see which assets and issues belong to them.
- Export owner names in your Issues and Digital Footprint CSV files to stay organized and on track.
How it works
You can assign ownership in two ways: from the Digital Footprint or from an individual issue.
Option 1: Assign from the Digital Footprint
- Open a scorecard and go to Digital Footprint.
- Open the Domains or IPs tab.
- Select one or more assets.
- Click Assign Owner, or click the Assign Owner icon in the Owner column.
Option 2: Assign from an issue
- Go to Issues.
- Open an issue.
- Click the Assign Owner icon.
In both cases, a drawer opens, allowing you to select a user or team.
