The Board Summary is a two-page, board-ready report that provides leadership with a high-level view of both your security posture and the risk across your vendor portfolios. To access the report, go to Automation > Reporting Center > Board Summary.
Security Posture summary
The first page of the Board Summary shows a security posture summary for your own organization. This includes a graph of your factor-level grades compared to the industry average, your security score history over the past 12 months compared to the industry average, and a list of any relevant security events affecting your organization in the last 12 months (such as a data breach).
Overall Vendor Risk brief
The second page of the Board Summary shows vendor risk across all portfolios, including your private and shared portfolios. This summary displays the overall vendor risk grade, the number of breaches across all vendors and portfolios in the past year, and the current number of open critical issues across all vendors and portfolios.
The Performance Trend graphic shows the distribution of vendor scores across all portfolios, including their improvement or decline over the past 30 days.
The Notable Vendor Security Scores table shows two tables:
- Top Movers – the companies whose scores have improved the most over the past 30 days.
- Bottom Movers – the companies whose scores have declined the most over the past 30 days.
Troubleshooting: A scorecard still appears in my Board Summary after I unfollowed it
Why this happens
The vendors shown in the Board Summary are drawn from the scorecards in your portfolios. A scorecard is removed only once it has been unfollowed from every portfolio it belongs to, and the change takes effect on the next score refresh rather than immediately.
How to fix it
-
Remove the scorecard from all portfolios.
- Go to the Portfolios section and review each of your portfolios.
- Locate the scorecard you want to remove.
- Unfollow / remove it from every portfolio where it is listed.
- If the scorecard is in a shared portfolio you don't have access to, contact your account admin and ask them to unfollow it.
- Wait for the next score update. The scorecard can continue to appear in the Board Summary for a few days after it's unfollowed, until the next scoring date is processed.
