Purpose and Summary
When SecurityScorecard detects a security breach, we will attempt to publish and apply scoring updates against affected scorecards as a priority.
While we attempt to update scoring as fast as possible, there may be some delay, which can be attributed to:
SecurityScorecard utilizes a 3rd Party feed for this data.
We work to do some validation on our end prior to adding the breach notification to any scorecard.
We process 3rd party data through the same scoring mechanisms as all of the other signals/data we collect - meaning that it can take a few additional days (from the day we get the notification, and then validate it) for those breach reports to arrive on a scorecard.
