The comparison tool lets you view the security health of up to 7 companies side by side. You can use it to quickly identify differences in scores, factor grades, and active issues across vendors or subsidiaries you're monitoring.
How to open the comparison tool
There are two ways to open the comparison tool.
From the Reporting Center
- Go to Automation > Reporting Center.
- Select the Comparison report.
- Choose a portfolio from the dropdown, then select the companies you want to compare.
From a portfolio
- Go to a portfolio and find the companies you want to compare.
- Select up to seven companies by checking the box next to each one.
- Click Compare in the toolbar that appears above the list.
Adding and changing companies
Once the comparison tool is open, you can add or swap companies using the panel on the right side. You can either browse companies from a portfolio you have access to or search across all rated scorecards by name or domain. The tool supports up to seven companies at a time.
What the comparison tool shows
The comparison tool organizes results into the following sections.
Scores and factor grades
At the top, each company's overall security score and letter grade are displayed side-by-side. Below that, factor-level grades are listed so you can see exactly where companies differ. The factors included are:
- Network Security
- DNS Health
- Patching Cadence
- Endpoint Security
- IP Reputation
- Application Security
- Cubit Score
- Hacker Chatter
- Information Leak
- Social Engineering
General observations
This section highlights two broad risk indicators:
- Exposed Services: The number of exposed network services detected across a company's infrastructure. See the full list of issue types included in this category below.
- Exposed Vulnerabilities Seen: The number of known vulnerabilities observed on the company's assets.
Issues detected
Issues are grouped by severity — high, medium, and low — and organized by factor. This makes it easy to spot which companies have outstanding risks and in which areas.
Score history
A chart at the bottom shows how each company's score has trended over time. You can adjust the time range to view the last 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, or 12 months.
