HyperComply allows you to easily manage the different roles and permissions that Quickly assign and manage user access in HyperComply so that your team can collaborate securely and efficiently.

Key points:

When you invite someone to join your workspace, you must choose their role.
You can only invite people with the same or lower role:
- Users can only invite other Users.
- Approvers can invite Users or Approvers.
- Admins can invite any role.

Roles Overview

Use these default roles based on your team’s needs:

Admin – Full workspace access: settings, integrations, all questionnaires, and permissions.
Approver – Handles questionnaires and knowledge base tasks but cannot access workspace settings.
User – Designed to view and answer questionnaires; limited management access.
Owner (special case) – Holds broad permissions for specific questionnaires and can override others.

Note: All members, regardless of their role will be able to view questionnaires, access and search the Knowledge Base by default.

How to Assign Roles

Go to Settings > Team Management.
Invite a member: enter their email, name, and select a role.
The permissions will take effect as soon as the member accepts.

Tips & Best Practices

Add unlimited users at no extra cost—only assign Admin access to trusted individuals.
Role changes are generally not reversible. Consider permissions carefully before granting broad access.
Detailed role control (custom roles) is available in higher-tier plans—talk to your Customer Success Manager to enable it.
