If you find gaps in your Digital Footprint during your review, you can add IPs or domains to it. This ensures that you are tracking security issues for all important assets in your organization.
Before you begin
The option to add assets is only available if all of the following conditions are met:
- Your account admin has granted you permission to make changes to the Scorecard.
- You are adding assets to your own Scorecard, or to a Scorecard that belongs to a child company in your hierarchy.
Note: If these conditions are not met and you would still like to request that an IP or domain be added to a Scorecard, submit a support ticket.
How adding assets works
- SecurityScorecard reviews your additions. Upon approval, they appear in your Digital Footprint.
- Approved assets are marked as Claimed.
- You cannot add subdomains individually. SecurityScorecard detects them when you add or claim their parent domain.
- Adding a domain also adds its associated IPs.
Ways to add assets
You can add assets in one of two ways:
- Upload a .csv file of assets. You can upload domain and IP .csv files separately. In your file, label the asset column ip or domain. If you don't include a heading, SecurityScorecard uses the first column by default.
- Manually enter IP addresses or domains into the text box.
To add assets
Go to My Organization > My Scorecard and then select Digital Footprint.
- Do one of the following:
- On the Overview tab, select Upload Assets.
- On the Domains or IP tabs, select Add.
- Select whether you are adding a list of IPs or a list of domains.
- To add the assets:
- Select the Upload button to select a .csv file from your local drive.
- Copy a comma-separated list of IPs or domains and paste it into the text box.
- Select Add and claim.
Approved additions appear in your Digital Footprint. The review process may take several days.
