Once a questionnaire is on your Questionnaires page, you can answer it. This article covers the response workspace: opening a questionnaire, autofilling answers with AI, answering and approving questions, and submitting to your customer. Access the Questionnaires page by going to My Company > Questionnaires.
Open a questionnaire
You usually access a questionnaire from an email invitation (for example, "[Customer] has invited you to complete a questionnaire"). Click Complete questionnaire, then sign in or create an account. Titan Assess opens your My Company > Questionnaires page. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
The Questionnaires page groups your work into Active, Completed, Submitted, and Requests tabs, organized by status, such as Ready to review. Click a questionnaire to open the response workspace, where you answer, track progress, and submit.
The response workspace
When you open a questionnaire, you see:
- Questions, grouped into sections (for example, "Application & Interface Security"), each showing approved answers, such as "0 approved of 4."
- A response area for each question, with the available answer options (for example, Yes / No / N/A) and an optional Comment field.
- The Knowledge Base panel, open on the right by default, for looking up supporting information and supplying resources for AI autofill.
- A progress bar at the top and a Submit button for when the questionnaire is complete.
- A toolbar with tools for progress, download, Autofill, details, filtering, and search.
Autofill answers with AI
Select Autofill (the lightning icon) to have Titan Assess draft answers from your Knowledge Base, your organization's prior answers, and uploaded documents, filling in the answers it can confidently match.
Add a reference document
You can also give Autofill a reference document to draw from, such as a previously answered questionnaire. In the Autofill this questionnaire with AI dialog, click Add a document (or drag a file to upload) to add a PDF, Word, or Excel file, then click Start autofill. Titan Assess drafts answers from the file and your Knowledge Base, and runs in the background, populating answers as it works. Watch the progress bar, and click Stop Autofill at any time to end the run.
Review autofilled answers
Autofilled answers are drafts for you to review. Titan Assess may show a suggested answer labeled Alternative, with the note "This is an AI response. Please verify the information." For each suggestion, click Apply to use it, Why is this suggested? for the reasoning, or Bad match to flag it and improve future results.
The Knowledge Base panel shows the sources behind each suggestion. Use Add to Knowledge Base or Remove from Knowledge Base there to see related entries.
Tip: The more complete your Knowledge Base, the more questions Autofill can answer. Unmatched questions are left for you to answer manually.
Search your Knowledge Base
The Search Knowledge Base panel helps you find answer content for the question you're working on. It has two tabs: Search, which looks up relevant information from your prior answers and uploaded documents (sort results by relevance, or try a less refined search or a quoted keyword if you don't get a match), and Citation, which shows the source behind a suggested answer so you can confirm where it came from.
If the panel shows "We couldn't find information on that specific topic in your Knowledge Base," answer the question manually and add it to your Knowledge Base for next time.
Answer questions
For each question, select a response from the available options (for example, Yes / No / N/A) or enter a written answer, and add context in the optional Comment field. Clear an answer to start over. Your work is saved automatically. Use the icons and menu under Question row and menu actions below to assign, attach evidence to, comment on, or view activity history for a question.

Each question has a row of quick-action icons, plus a More (•••) menu with a few additional options.
The action row
- Assign: Assign the question to a teammate. The icon then shows their avatar.
- Attach a document (paperclip icon): Attach supporting evidence. The icon then shows a count of attached files.
- Comment (speech bubble icon): Add a comment for your team. The icon then shows a count.
- Re-run autofill (circular arrow icon): Re-run AI autofill for this question only.
The More (...) menu
- Copy link: Copy a direct link to this question.
- View question activity: See the question's full activity history, including imports, response updates, assignments, and attachments, each with the user and timestamp.
- Edit question segments: Change which audience segments this question applies to (segmentation-enabled questionnaires only).
- Add to Knowledge Base: Flag this question and answer as a source for future Autofill suggestions. Select again to remove.
- Add to Topics: File this question under a Knowledge Base topic (some accounts only).
Approve answers
As you finalize each answer, click Approve to mark it reviewed and final. Each section shows progress, for example, "2 approved of 4," and the top progress bar reflects the whole questionnaire, so you can see what's left before you submit.
Submit the questionnaire
When you've answered and approved everything, click Submit. A confirmation dialog confirms you've answered all questions and reminds you that you can't edit your response after submitting unless your purchaser sends feedback. Click Submit again to send the questionnaire to your customer.
The questionnaire then becomes view-only, with a banner reading "This questionnaire is view-only because it has been submitted for review," and moves to In review status. Return to the Questionnaires page to see the updated status.
Download a copy of the questionnaire
Use Download to export the questionnaire with your answers, to keep a copy or return it in the format your customer requested.
