Use AI to pre-fill an assessment in Titan AI

After you save a new assessment, the assessment opens. You can use Pre-fill with AI to draft answers automatically before you send the questionnaire to your vendor. Titan AI reads the documents you've uploaded to the assessment, extracts the information that answers each question, and proposes a suggested answer for you to review. This lets you send vendors a partially completed questionnaire instead of a blank one, reducing their effort and improving response rates.

For each question, Titan AI:

• Reads the documents you uploaded to the assessment and finds the passages most relevant to the question.
• Drafts an answer with AI based on what it finds in those documents, written in your organization's preferred style.
• Shows the source behind each suggestion, so you can see which document the answer came from before you accept it.

Use this option when you have assessments where you already have supporting documents for the vendor, such as their security policy, SOC 2 report, or a prior completed questionnaire, and you want a head start before sending it to them.

For best results, upload at least one relevant document to the assessment, such as the vendor's security policy, SOC 2 report, or a completed questionnaire. Pre-fill can still run without one, but it warns you when no documents are attached, since there won't be anything for it to pull answers from. You also don't need to import the questionnaire's questions ahead of time. Starting pre-fill imports them for you as part of the process.

How to pre-fill an assessment

1. From the Active assessments table, open the assessment you want to pre-fill.
2. Select the Documents icon in the toolbar to upload your supporting document(s). Any document(s) you previously uploaded will appear.
   
3. Once your document(s) are uploaded, select Pre-fill with AI > Start pre-fill.
4. Titan AI will work through the questionnaire and draft a suggested answer for each question it can confidently answer from your documents. 

Review AI-drafted answers

Pre-filled answers are drafts for you to review; they are not sent automatically. 

Before you send the assessment to your vendor, you can:

• Accept, edit, or discard each suggested answer.
• Check the source behind a suggestion to confirm it's accurate and current.
• Leave any question blank for the vendor to complete.

Always review suggestions before sending, since your vendor will see whatever you include.

Use the Needs approval filter to see the questions that require your review.

Once you review the response, select Approve.
