Titan AI is in beta. Features and behavior may change, and some functionality is still in development. To share feedback or report an issue, complete the support form.
Reports let you turn your findings, vendor, and security event data into shareable views, from a quick tabular export to a board-ready summary. You can start from a pre-built template, describe what you want in plain language and let AI build it, or start from scratch and configure every detail yourself.
Create a report
To get started, go to Reports and select New report. You can create a report in one of three ways:
- Use a template: Start from a pre-built report and adjust it to fit your needs.
- Create with AI: Describe what you want and let AI build the report for you.
- Start from scratch: Build a report section by section, with full control over every setting.
Use a template
Templates are grouped into categories so you can quickly find one that fits the audience or purpose you have in mind:
- Executive: Board- and leadership-ready summaries, such as a quarterly portfolio risk review.
- Compliance: Reports built around policy and remediation obligations, such as open KEV exposure or remediation SLA breaches.
- Vendor Risk: Reports focused on vendor-level risk posture.
To use a template:
- Go to Reports > New report.
- Select All templates to browse every option, or select a category to narrow the list.
- Select a template card to open it.
- Customize the report to fit your needs. See Customize a report below.
Create with AI
Create with AI turns a plain-language description into a working report, so you don't have to configure data sources, measures, and filters by hand.
- In the Create with AI box, describe the report you want. For example, "Show open findings by type over the last 90 days."
- Select Create with AI.
- Review the generated report and adjust any section's settings as needed. See Customize a report below.
Tip: Be specific about the data set, the metric, and the time period you care about. The more detail you give, the closer the first draft will match what you need.
Build a custom report
Select Start from scratch to build an empty report and add sections one at a time, configuring each one yourself. Use this option when none of the templates fit, and you'd rather not start from an AI-generated draft.
Customize a report
Whether a report came from a template, AI, or you built it, you customize it the same way: through each section's settings panel.
Section name and display
Every section starts with a name and a display type. The name identifies the section within the report, for example on the Reports list or in an emailed copy, so use something specific enough to tell sections apart at a glance, such as "Open findings by severity" rather than "Section 1."
The display type controls how the section's data renders:
- Tabular: Shows the underlying rows in a table, one per line. Use this when you need to see or export individual records, such as a list of vendors with open findings.
- Summary: Condenses the data into a small set of key numbers, such as totals or averages. Use this for a high-level snapshot that doesn't need row-level detail, like an executive overview.
- Graph: Plots the data as a chart. Use this to show trends over time or compare categories at a glance, such as findings by type over the last quarter.
You can change the display type at any time. The underlying data source, measures, and filters carry over, so switching from a table to a graph doesn't require reconfiguring the section.
Where the data comes from
Each section pulls from one data set: Findings, Vendors, or Security Events. Only prepared, described data sets are available to choose from, so a section can't accidentally pull in data that hasn't been vetted for reporting.
Once you choose a data set, configure:
- Measures: The values to calculate, such as Count or Active count. You can add more than one measure to a section.
- Group by: How to break the measures down, for example by finding type or vendor.
- Filters: Narrow the section to matching rows. Choose a field, a comparison (such as is), and one or more values.
The period it covers
Set the time range a section reports on, such as the last 90 days. Periods are always relative rather than fixed dates, so every time the report runs (today, next week, or next quarter) the window shifts to match, and you never have to update the dates by hand.
You can also set the time dimension: the date field the period is measured against, for example, when a finding was first detected versus when it was resolved.
Run a report
Running a report generates every section against your current data. Save the report first. You can't run a report that hasn't been saved.
- Open the report from the Reports list.
- Select Run report. A banner appears letting you know the report can take some time to finish and that a copy will be emailed to you once it's done.
- If needed, select Cancel to dismiss the banner. This only clears it from view. The report keeps running in the background and still completes and emails you.
When the report finishes, a confirmation shows how many sections succeeded and how many failed, and each section updates in place to show its actual results instead of the sample preview.
Manage your reports
The Reports page lists every report you have access to, so you can find, reopen, and clean up reports without digging through folders.
Each row shows:
- Report: The report's name.
- Type: How the report is built: Table, Summary, Graph, or Custom.
- Data: The data set(s) the report pulls from, such as Findings or Security Events.
- Last Produced: When the report was last generated. Reports that haven't been generated yet show Never produced.
- Owner: Who created the report.
Use the search box to find a report by name, and select the grid icon in the top-right to switch how the list is displayed.
Delete a report
To delete a report, select the Row actions (…) icon at the end of its row and choose Delete.
Note: Deleting a report takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Make sure you have the right report selected before choosing Delete.
