Problem
A subdomain that resolves in a web browser is not found in a scorecard Digital Footprint when the apex domain does exist in the Digital Footprint
Answer
There may be some edge cases where our sources are not able to detect the subdomain.
Please create a support ticket mentioning the subdomains to add. If requirements are met, our Support Team will proceed to the addition.
For a subdomain to be present on the digital footprint page, the subdomain must meet the following requirements:
- The subdomain's apex domain must be in the Digital Footprint.
- The subdomain has an 'A record'.
- The IP addresses resolved to the subdomain must already be attributed in the Digital Footprint
The attribution for subdomains works the following way:
Subdomains ===linked with==> Apex domain ===attributed to==> Scorecard
NOTE: At this time the Domain section of the Digital Footprint will not show 2nd Level Subdomains (e.g 2nd.subdomain.example.com), however it can still be added and will exist in the Digital Footprint in the back-end and findings can be raised against them.
