Question
An IP is not owned by or attributed to the scorecard's digital footprint, but an ASI query returns results showing a link to the scorecard. Why?
Answer
The ASI database and the Attribution database are separate systems. The ASI database logs historical associations, including past links to the main scorecard.
If an IP is no longer associated with the main scorecard domain, it may be due to:
- Public records aging out.
- The IP being reassigned to a different domain.
As a result, it will be removed from the scorecard. However, since there was a historical connection, the ASI database will still retain the past association.
