As of August 27, 2025, SecurityScorecard removed the following legacy features as part of a broader effort to simplify the platform and focus on impactful capabilities. These features no longer aligned with our current product strategy.
Features to be removed
1. Public Scorecards

What is it?
A public-facing view of Scorecards accessible at scores.securityscorecard.io. Badges will continue to show for users who have had set the badge after the public scorecard sunset. -
Why was it removed?
Public Scorecards is not actively maintained and have been fully replaced by Trust Centers as a more controllable sharing option. -
What to use instead:
While Public Scorecards are no longer available, we highly recommend anyone interested in accessing their own organization’s scorecard, monitoring up to 5 vendors for free and publishing an externally visible Trust Center to sign up for our free Business Trial here.
2. SecurityScorecard Connect

What is it?
A link in the user interface that previously pointed to a discontinued community portal. -
Why was it removed?
Since the community portal was shut down the remaining UI link needed to be removed. -
Impact:
No platform functionality was affected; this was a cleanup of outdated navigation.
3. Chrome Extension

What is it?
A browser extension available through the Chrome Web Store. It was removed from the Chrome marketplace. -
Why was it removed?
The extension has minimal usage and does not provide any extra platform capability. -
Impact:
All functionality is accessible directly in the platform via browser.
What if I was using one of these features?
If you were relying on any of these tools, here are the alternatives:
- Use Trust Centers to provide external visibility into your Scorecard.
- Access all SecurityScorecard functionality through the web application.
- Contact support if you need help transitioning from any legacy workflows.
- We are not retiring any code or API endpoints at the moment, so APIs should continue to work as expected.
