Once you have submitted your security questionnaire to HyperComply, it will be imported, autofilled and quality assured by the HyperComply team. You will then receive an email with a link to the completed security questionnaire for you and your team to review. You can also view completed security questionnaires directly in the Active tab within the Questionnaires page.

Process description:

This article will allow users to understand the steps required to find, review and complete the submitted security questionnaire. There are also tips on how to be more efficient when reviewing security questionnaires at the end of the article.

Prerequisites:

• Ensure you have the correct permissions as the User must be the Owner, an Approver or an Admin to Complete the security questionnaire

Gathering materials/resources:

• Speak to your HyperComply Admin if a change in your User account is required

  • If you are unsure who your HyperComply Admin is, please reach out to your CSM directly or contact HyperComply Support through our Support Request Portal here

Step-by-step instructions:

• Log into HyperComply or click the “Your questionnaire is ready to review” link in the email sent by the HyperComply team

   

• Ensure you are in the Active tab for Questionnaires and click into the questionnaire you want to review (Skip this step if you used the link in the email sent to you)

• Review HyperComply's Answers by going through the pre-filled responses for each question and make edits as necessary

   

• Fill in Missing Answers:

  • Use the Knowledge Base search tool

  • Try the Generate Answers feature to create responses based on your documents and policies

  • Manually input answers if needed

     

• Approve answers as you review by clicking the green Approve button when they are finalized and ready to send to your client or prospect

  ​Note: Approved answers will also appear in future search results and be used for future autofills. Unapproved answers still appear in the search results but are not prioritized for future autofills like approved answers

• After approving all the answers, click on Download and Mark as Completed

  • The file will then move from the Active tab to the Completed tab

  • All answers will be added to your Knowledge Base

  • The downloaded version is your final questionnaire that is ready to send to your client or prospect

     

Tips and best practices:

Use filters and bulk actions

1. Hover over the Progress Bar at the top of the page to see how many questions are in each status

2. Click on the Orange portion of the progress bar or use the Needs Approval filter to find answers requiring your review

3. Use the dynamic island at the bottom of the page to approve answers in bulk

Search the Knowledge Base to find answers

For questions that weren’t filled by HyperComply, you can search your Knowledge Base to find the best answers. Here's how:

1. Click the Search button to access your Knowledge Base

2. Hover over the response to see an arrow pointing left

3. Click the arrow to open a drop-down menu showing different answer fields from your questionnaire (e.g., "Response", "Additional Comments")

4. Select the answer field where you want to insert the response

You can also use the Generate Answer feature to create responses based on your organization’s documents, policies, and past Q&A pairs.

Below is a reference for relevant information on the Questionnaire tab:

1. Questionnaire Name (e.g., Vendor Risk Assessment)

2. Due Date to your vendor

3. Segments applied to your questionnaire (if any)

4. Progress Bar:

   • Green: Responses that have been reviewed and approved

   • Orange: Responses needing approval

   • Grey: Questions not completed by HyperComply

5. Customer Name (e.g., Google) for whom you’re completing the questionnaire

6. Questionnaire Owner (Hover over their initials to see their full name)

7. Questionnaire Submitter

8. Last Updated (Shows how many days ago the file was last modified)
