To grade Scorecards, SecurityScorecard uses the American education grading system because of its wide familiarity. The system includes the letters A, B, C, D, and F.
Grade "E" is not used in the common U.S. grading system because of a 1930s concern that students and parents might misinterpret "E" as "Excellent" or "Exemplary" instead of it representing failure.
