Problem
When connecting to the SecurityScorecard datasource with Power BI the following error is received: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
or
"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond."
Solution
Assuming the connection settings entered in Power BI matches the Integration information from the platform:
The error is caused by a firewall/proxy blocking the server and port connection. Please ensure the host and port are whitelisted with any firewall/proxy settings.
Note: The connection host is a DNS entry (rubber-boar.sql.aws-us-east-1-t-2112.cubecloudapp.dev) as such it must resolve in order to establish a connection. Connecting directly with the IP is not currently supported.
